Well we've all heard the tales of the strange creatures that live in the deep lochs, the sea, the forests ... strange, allusive creatures that are sometimes seen, but never get close enough to be caught. We've all heard of the loch ness monster, of the yetti, and so many many more. And yet opinion is divided, are these creatures real? or are they just mithological, .. any thoughts? .. do you believe?

I think there are many unexplained things out there that's for certain. So I don't discount that there might indeed be something. The only real problem I have, take 1 of those programmes, or a programme on UFO's or the paranormal for example, once you've seen 1 programme like that, you've seen them all. Nothing conclusive or anything like that, how much of it is meedia hype and how much is it based on what people have actually said? That's the only real problem I have.

I agree with Lord Voldemort
. Should they be true, they're probably highly exaggerated because of the media.

It's like something that 1 of my favorite characters from one of my favoriet Sci-fi shows once said, "nothing is inexplicable, only unexplained. I think that sums things up nicely.

I think they are real. Why? Because man doesn't know everything like we think we do, & I like to think there are creatures out there :o can elude our technology. If one of these `monsters` was ever found, the whole species would be set upon by poachers & scientists.

I agree with both of you and as a Scot, who has grown up wondering if the legend of Nessie was only that, or based on fact. I can say at last that Nessie is nothing but a tourist trap and pure hype. Loch Ness is 1 of the biggest expanses of fresh water in britain yet there is not enough fish or vegetation, to support an otter on a diet, or a very fussy goose over-wintering on the loch. However, I love the idea of monsters roaming the planet, but I am convinced that WE are the only life form worthy of the name.
